Dear Lemoore Union Elementary School District Parents and Community,
Our district leadership team has been working hard to support the next steps as part of our school district closure. First, we are providing a lunch meal for students beginning on Wednesday, March 18th. These will be available on a drive through/walk up basis from 10:30am-12:00pm. Meals are available for children under the age of 18, Monday-Friday during the closure period. Families can go to any of our elementary schools: Cinnamon, Engvall, Lemoore or Meadow Lane in addition to Liberty Middle School. Children must be present to receive a meal. Dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated at this time.
In the coming days, more information will be provided by Governor Newsom regarding instruction for students and ways to continue learning at home. In addition, we have confirmation that our school year will NOT be extended due to the closure. As we continue to get updates, we will provide all information via our School Messenger call system and on our District website, at www.luesd.k12.ca.us.
Once again, meals will begin this Wednesday, March 18 from 10:30am-12:00pm at all elementary schools in our district and Liberty Middle School and additional information will be forthcoming related to educational resources that can be used at home.
We thank EACH ONE of you for your support and patience as we are dealing with this evolving situation that has many unknowns. Please continue to refer to our website for updates. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time of national crisis.
Cheryl Hunt, Superintendent
